We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Query.Farm, a new company dedicated to advancing the DuckDB ecosystem. Our mission is to make DuckDB the go-to choice for modern data infrastructure by providing enterprise-grade extensions, managed services, and consulting expertise.
What We’re Building
Query.Farm focuses on three core areas:
1. DuckDB Extensions
We’ve developed over 20 specialized DuckDB extensions covering:
- Data Connectors - PostgreSQL, MySQL, S3, Kafka, and REST APIs
- Data Transformation - JSON, geospatial, time series, and text analytics
- Analytics & ML - Machine learning models, statistics, and forecasting
- Performance - Query caching, parallel processing, and compression
- Developer Tools - Debugging, validation, and profiling
- Data Quality - Profiling and deduplication
2. VGI — Vector Gateway Interface
Our protocol for extending DuckDB in any language. VGI is an Apache Arrow-based bridge that lets you write DuckDB functions in Python, TypeScript, Go, or C++ — and run them as remote workers attached to DuckDB at query time. No FFI. No compilation. No version locking against a specific DuckDB build.
VGI ships as three pieces: a DuckDB extension, a Python worker framework, and language SDKs for Python, TypeScript, Go, and C++.
3. Consulting & Support
