These terms cover the website — the documentation you are reading, the in-browser SQL shell, and everything published here. They are deliberately not a software license: each Query.Farm extension is governed by the license that ships with it, such as the Query Farm Source-Available License.

Read, link to, and share the documentation; use the code samples in your own projects.
Try any extension in the in-browser shell — it runs locally, for evaluation.
Scrape, probe, or overload the site, or misrepresent an affiliation with us.
Treat these Terms as a software license — each repository ships its own.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of https://query.farm and its subdomains, including the documentation, the in-browser SQL shell, and any other content or feature we make available on the site (together, the "Site"). The Site is operated by Query Farm LLC ("Query.Farm," "we," "us"), 4990 Sadler Pl # 4336, Glen Allen, VA 23060-6122, USA.

By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. What these Terms cover — and what they do not

These Terms govern the Site. They do not license our software.

Each Query.Farm extension, package, and repository is distributed under its own license, which accompanies that software and controls your rights to use it. Where an extension is distributed under the Query Farm Source-Available License, its terms are published at /licenses/source-available. Nothing on the Site — including code samples, documentation, or the in-browser shell — grants you any right in our software beyond what that software's own license grants.

3. Using the Site

You may read, link to, and share the Site's documentation freely. You may use the code samples in the documentation in your own projects without restriction or attribution, subject to the license of any Query.Farm software those samples call into.

You agree not to:

  • interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Site or its infrastructure, including by automated scraping that degrades service for others;
  • probe, scan, or attempt to breach the security of the Site, or access any system or data you are not authorized to access;
  • use the Site to distribute malware or unlawful content, or in violation of any applicable law or export control regulation; or
  • misrepresent your affiliation with Query.Farm.

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it to [email protected] rather than exploiting it.

4. The in-browser SQL shell

Extension pages include a shell that runs DuckDB inside your browser using WebAssembly. It is provided for evaluation and learning. It executes locally on your machine, we do not receive the SQL you write or the data you load, and we make no commitment that it will remain available, that it will match the behaviour of a native DuckDB build, or that any result it produces is correct. Do not rely on it for production decisions, and do not load data into it that you are not permitted to process in your own browser.

5. Documentation accuracy

The documentation describes software that changes. We work to keep it correct, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current, or free of error, and published figures — including extension load counts, compatibility matrices, and benchmark or example output — are provided for information only and may be out of date.

6. Intellectual property and trademarks

The Site's text, layout, design system, images, and organization are owned by Query Farm LLC and protected by copyright, except where a third party's material is identified as such.

"Query.Farm," "Query Farm," "Vector Gateway Interface," "VGI," "Hyperfederation," "Haybarn," "Orchard," and "Cupola," together with our logos and marks, are trademarks of Query Farm LLC. These Terms grant you no right to use them, except for reasonable and customary use in describing our products truthfully — for example, stating that your project uses a Query.Farm extension.

"DuckDB" is a trademark of its respective owner. Query.Farm is an independent developer of DuckDB extensions and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by DuckDB Labs or the DuckDB Foundation.

7. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback about our products or the Site, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it without restriction or compensation. Do not send us anything you consider confidential.

8. Third-party services and links

The Site links to and embeds third-party services, including source repositories, package registries and content delivery networks, our newsletter provider, and our scheduling provider. We do not control them, we are not responsible for their content or practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. See our Privacy Policy for what data those services receive.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ON IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUERY FARM LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SITE, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability or exclusions of warranty, so parts of Sections 9 and 10 may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Query Farm LLC from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site or your violation of these Terms or of any applicable law.

12. Changes and availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without notice. We may also revise these Terms; the revision date at the top of this page reflects the current version, and your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Query Farm LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Henrico County, Virginia, for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site, and each party waives any objection to that venue.

14. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect and the unenforceable provision is enforced to the greatest extent permitted. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any license that accompanies our software, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
