Privacy Policy
Last updated August 10, 2026 ยท Query Farm LLC
query.farm is a documentation and product site, and it is built to need very little from you. This page describes exactly what is collected when you read the docs, run a query in the in-browser shell, subscribe to the newsletter, or get in touch.
- No accounts, no ads, no tracking cookies, no cross-site tracking.
- The in-browser SQL shell runs entirely in your browser โ queries and data never reach us.
- Extension "loads" are aggregate counts per extension, not per person.
- We never sell personal information.
This summary is an informal overview โ the full text below governs. Questions? [email protected]. See also the Terms of Service.

2. The short version
This is a documentation and product site. There is no account system, no advertising network, and no cross-site tracking. We do not sell personal information. The only personal data we deliberately collect is what you hand us: an email address if you subscribe to the newsletter, whatever you write if you email us, and your booking details if you schedule a meeting.
3. What we collect
Server and network logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard request data โ IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and approximate region โ to serve pages and to protect the site against abuse and denial-of-service traffic. We use this only for operating and securing the site.
Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe to Dispatch, your email address is submitted to Buttondown, our newsletter provider, which stores it along with delivery metadata such as whether a message was opened. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
Email you send us. If you write to [email protected], we receive and retain your message, your email address, and anything else you choose to include.
Meeting scheduling. The scheduling page embeds Cal.com. If you book a meeting, Cal.com collects the name, email address, and any notes you enter, and shares them with us so we can attend.
Extension usage counts. Query.Farm DuckDB extensions report an aggregate load event so we can publish how widely each extension is used. These events are recorded in the Cloudflare Analytics Engine as counts grouped by extension name and date. They are aggregate figures โ they do not identify you, your queries, your data, or your machine, and the "loads" numbers shown on extension pages are the whole of what we derive from them.
4. What we do not collect
We do not run advertising or behavioural-analytics scripts, we do not build visitor profiles, we do not use tracking cookies, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Your queries and data stay on your machine. The in-browser SQL shell on extension pages runs DuckDB entirely inside your browser via WebAssembly. The SQL you type, the data you load, and the results you get are never transmitted to Query.Farm.
5. Cookies and local storage
We set no advertising or analytics cookies. The site may use your browser's local storage to remember interface preferences, such as your light/dark theme choice in the documentation. That information stays in your browser and is never sent to us. Third-party embeds โ Cal.com in particular โ may set their own cookies under their own policies.
6. Third parties that receive data
Loading or using this site involves these providers:
- Cloudflare โ hosting, CDN, DNS, and the analytics store for aggregate extension load counts
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) โ serves the site's typefaces; Google receives your IP address and user agent as part of the font request
- unpkg and jsDelivr โ serve the WebAssembly DuckDB engine and terminal libraries used by the in-browser shell; these CDNs receive your IP address when those files are fetched
- Buttondown โ newsletter delivery
- Cal.com โ meeting scheduling
- GitHub โ source code repositories we link to
Each operates under its own privacy policy. We link to third-party sites throughout the documentation; we are not responsible for their practices.
7. Why we may process your data
Where a lawful basis is required, we rely on: your consent (newsletter subscription); the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (responding to your enquiries, scheduling meetings, providing licensed software); and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site and understanding aggregate demand for our extensions.
8. How long we keep it
Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept as long as needed for the matter it concerns and for our ordinary business records. Server logs are retained on our providers' standard schedules, typically measured in days to a small number of months. Aggregate extension load counts contain no personal data and are retained indefinitely.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of them, email [email protected]. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers process data in the United States and other countries. If you contact us from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
11. Children
This site is intended for developers and businesses. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
12. Security
We use HTTPS site-wide and rely on established providers for hosting and data storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. The revision date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
